The Youth Mental Health Council focuses on helping parents and youth in our city recognize youth mental health issues and identify resources for help. The council is a multi-disciplinary group of community members with representatives from social services agencies, health systems, counseling centers, high schools, and other organizations.

The Youth Mental Health Council meets on the second Thursday of each month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at different locations. Topics have included youth depression research, domestic violence, managed care, Voices for Children, a mental health capacity assessment, and law enforcement.

Membership in the council is open to persons interested in youth mental health issues. If you are interested in serving, please contact Nicole Rogers, executive director of The Health Collaborative at nicole.rogers@healthcollaborative.net or at (210) 481-2573.
